Groundwork Farm will once again be offering it's wonderful Summer CSA Shares in 2012! We provide a weekly, delivered box of high quality, locally-raised produce from our fertile fields in Alfred. We are striving to help reshape our food system here in Southern Maine by offering the community a direct line to food grown right here.This year we will be delivering CSA shares to Portland, Kennebunk and to Sanford/Springvale. Share dropsites will be conveniently located for ease of pick-up on a weekday afternoon from mid June through October. The Full Share cost of a 2012 Summer Share is $500 and that includes delivery. Half Shares are available upon request. We offer flexible payment plans, with shares needing to be paid in full by July 1st. A deposit is required to reserve a share.
Groundwork is evolving as a small-scale, sustainable growing operation, and we strive to provide very diverse shares of the best we have to offer. We are currently applying for organic certification from MOFGA and follow all practices associated with the USDA organic standards. It is our hope that a shareholder will receive all the typical summer favorites they love, as well as enjoy trying something new this season. Our vegetables, herbs and flowers are grown with great care, all from seed by us at the farm.
