Directions to Wolf Pine Farm   

From Portland, Maine

• From Portland take Rt. 95 South to the Exit 32 (Biddeford). Follow directions from Exit 32 below.

From Portsmouth, New Hampshire

• From Portsmouth go over the bridge into Maine on 95 North
• You will come to the toll booths ($1.50 toll)
•     If it is daytime, or you have been to the farm before follow directions from Exit 19 (Sanford/Wells)
•     If it is nighttime and you have never been to the farm before you may want to choose Exit 32 (Biddeford/Alfred) two exits north of Wells. This is a slightly easier route for first time visits

From EXIT 19 (Sanford/Wells)

• Get off at EXIT 19 (Sanford/Wells) and follow signs for Alfred and Sanford. Off the ramp, you will take a RIGHT at the light onto ROUTE 109 NORTH.
• 6.8 miles from the ramp turn RIGHT onto ROUTE 99 toward Kennebunk. (To the left you will see the Sanford airport runway).
• Go 1.1 miles and turn LEFT onto WITCHER'S MILL RD. This turn is the same one indicated by a small sign for Keywood Manor.
• Go only 0.2 miles, and take the LEFT FORK onto STEBBINS RD.
• After 1.2 miles, turn LEFT at the STOP SIGN onto NEW DAM RD.
• Just a little help for the next turn... On New Dam Rd. you will pass LaValley Lumber Co. & paint store on the left, then go over a small bridge, then see a couple houses on the right. GOODWIN'S BRIDGE ROAD is the NEXT RIGHT and it is hidden, and as of May, 2004 the sign is missing, too. So be sure to check that odometer. By mileage, this turn is 0.9 miles from the stop sign at New Dam Rd.
• On Goodwin's Bridge Rd. go 0.3 miles (crossing the Mousam River/Estes Lake) and bear LEFT onto MOUSE LANE at the forest info kiosk.
• Go 1.5 miles and turn LEFT into our driveway, 259 MOUSE LANE
• You will see our bluish gray house, the schoolhouse, our greenhouse, a large red barn and two other red outbuildings.
• That should get you here. If not call us at 207-324-2357 or stop and ask directions. Most people around here know where the old Williams' Farm is on Mouse Lane.

From EXIT 25 (Kennebunk) - This route is not recommended for people coming from Portsmouth or Portland. Use the Wells exit coming from the south and the Biddeford exit coming from the North. These directions are primarily for folks who live in Kennebunk.

• Head NORTH on the ALFRED ROAD (a right turn if you are coming from off the highway ramp)
• Go STRAIGHT through the intersection at Mill St/Thompson Rd. (where you would turn left to go to the middle school or right to go to Rt. 99). The landmark here is the extra large 4-way stop signs. If you set the odometer here it will be a little over 2 miles to the next turn. (The next turn onto Old Falls Road is very easy to miss! As you are approaching you see Verdant Way on the left and then Blueberry Pines Dr. on the right just before the left turn onto Old Falls Rd. If you miss the turn you will be on Cole Rd. and you should turn around.)
• Turn LEFT onto OLD FALLS ROAD. Follow this (2 or more miles) until the STOP SIGN at the intersection with the Old North Berwick Rd.
• At this stop sign, go STRAIGHT. You will be on POOLS CROSSING ROAD for less than a 1/4 mile when it becomes WITCHERS MILL ROAD. Follow this (about 2 miles) until you come to an intersection. This is the intersection with Mouse Lane. There will be a forest kiosk on the right as your landmark.
• Turn RIGHT onto MOUSE LANE. Go 1.5 miles and turn LEFT into our driveway. You will see 259 Mouse Lane on our mailbox on the left hand side as you approach.

From EXIT 32 (Biddeford)

• Off the ramp, you will take a RIGHT at the light onto ROUTE 111 WEST. Follow signs for Alfred and Sanford. Do not head toward Biddeford.
• You will be on Rt. 111 for about 11 miles before turning.
• You will come up a small hill to the first light at the Home Depot. Last light for a while...
• After about 5 miles you will come to an intersection with a traffic light and a Texaco on the right hand side. Keep going straight. If you set the trip odometer here... your turn will be 5.6 miles from this point.
• You will see these landmark signs on the RIGHT as you approach your turn:
• 1. Little town marker indicating that you have come into Alfred.
• 2. Yellow sign, "THE STEP GUYS" with lots of concrete blocks lying around.
• 3. Yellow four-way intersection sign
• EXACTLY AT THE FOUR-WAY INTERSECTION, UNDER THE YELLOW FLASHING LIGHT, YOU WILL TURN LEFT. If it is dark it is a little difficult to see the turn, but if you are going slowly you will see it.
• At this point you are on Kennebunk Rd. After about 1 mile there is a fork in the road. STAY RIGHT. This is where Mouse Lane begins.
• When you get almost one more mile from the start of Mouse Lane there is another fork in the road. Ida Jim Road goes left, You STAY RIGHT on Mouse Lane around the almost 90 degree curve.
• After coming out of the curve you will see two mailboxes on the right and then after another little bit, our greenhouse and red barn. After the barn take a RIGHT into our U shaped driveway, 259 MOUSE LANE.
